The Three of Wands tarot card meaning is enterprise already launched and watched with confidence: trade, foresight and returns on the way. A stately man, seen from behind, stands on a cliff above a golden sea where small ships sail, one wand gripped in his hand and two more planted in the rock beside him. Upright it is effort sent out into the world; reversed, in Waite's reading, it is hardship coming to an end.
