The flight of wands resembles the released arrow in the teaching on karma, where an arrow once loosed must complete its course and cannot be called back, as prarabdha karma must run to its end. The card's lesson follows from that image: the moment of choice was earlier, at the bowstring. What remains is to meet the arrival with equanimity.
