Patanjali's Yoga Sutras name asteya, non-stealing, and satya, truthfulness, among the yamas, the restraints on which all practice rests. The man with five swords pictures the moment those restraints are tested by a clever opportunity. The Moon of this decan is Chandra, ruler of manas, the restless mind that plans and doubts. The parallel points to the remedy: steady the mind and act in the open.
